We Must See Ourselves Outside of These Systems

Consider these words, from another's heart (Aerin Stack):

“...to move forward in decolonial fashion that will mean divesting from the violent systems forced on us.

That will mean abandoning the arbitrary classifications, titles and roles within the casta system that were forced upon us, as well.

How do we do that?

That answer will continue to shift, change and for many it will mean going back: returning to who their ancestors were before these systems came to be.

Some may come to imagine something new, but first: we must see ourselves outside of these systems.

Otherwise, we will continue to uphold them.

Do not confuse these sentiments with color blind racism: it is not the same thing.

What would it look like if we totally divested from whyte supremacy?

What would it look like if we genuinely abandon any need for hierarchal supremacy in exchange for reciprocity and an egalitarian way of being?

Who would you be if you personally divested from these systems?

Return. Reclaim. Recover.”
