An event with by Retreat Farm, Tavernier Chocolates and atowi project
Celebrate the installation of our new outdoor quilt exhibit, Trail Magic, and taste the forest with Tavernier Chocolates!
Enjoy a guided chocolate walk led by Rich Holschuh of the Atowi Project (Brattleboro), and Dar Tavernier-Singer and John Singer of Tavernier Chocolates (Brattleboro). Each participant will receive five delicious chocolates and a small sweet drink featuring flavors of the forest: white pine, spruce, birch, maple, and more. On the walk we'll learn about these trees, and other plants Tavernier uses to flavor their delectable Brattleboro-made chocolates.
Following the walk, meet artist and Trail Magic creator, Amber Paris. Learn about her eco-inspired installation, featuring quilting squares stitched with reflections on how people connect to the Retreat Trails. This installation was brought to life with the help of Farm volunteers at community quilting bees earlier this year.
All day long there will be kid-friendly sensory stations in the Forest Playground, from 10am-2pm. Mini nature journals will be provided for young explorers!
Visit our event page on the Retreat Farm website for the full schedule of events.
Space is limited for the Chocolate Walk and registration is required. Registration is encouraged but not required for the artist talk.
